The headline number is real. It is also incomplete.
Your actual monthly cost per employee will be $199 plus gross salary, employer taxes (15-45% of salary depending on country), plus FX spreads that Skuad does not publish.
The $199 platform fee represents roughly 2-3% of what your Finance team will reconcile each month for a European hire.
The remaining 97% is salary, statutory contributions, and currency conversion costs that no pricing page will quantify for you upfront.

What does Skuad charge?
Skuad (now Payoneer Workforce Management) publishes three core products with flat per-person pricing. There are no tiers within each product, no regional surcharges on the platform fee, and no setup charges.
Volume discounts are available but require a sales conversation.

The $199 EOR fee is a starting price. Skuad’s own pricing page qualifies it with “starting at”, which means some countries or configurations may cost more.
We were unable to confirm whether higher-complexity jurisdictions carry surcharges because Skuad does not publish country-level pricing.
The $19 CMS tier is the cheapest contractor management in the market. At that price, you get payments, invoicing, and expense tracking, but you carry the classification liability yourself.
If your legal team needs misclassification protection, you are looking at the $99 AOR tier, which is still roughly half what Deel charges for its Contractor of Record product.
What does the Skuad fee include?
The $199 EOR fee covers legal employment through a local entity, compliant contracts, payroll processing in 70+ currencies, statutory benefits administration, tax withholding, onboarding support, a unified dashboard, and a dedicated account manager.
SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA certifications are included.
That inclusion list looks comparable to what Deel and Remote offer at $599. The gap is not in what the fee covers. It is in the infrastructure behind it.
Skuad uses a hybrid entity model: some owned entities (primarily in APAC, where the company originated), and partner entities in most other regions.
When you pay $199, you may be employed through a Skuad-owned entity in India or Singapore, or through a third-party partner entity in Germany or Brazil.
The pricing page does not tell you which, and neither will the sales call until you ask directly.
This matters because partner-based employment adds a layer of dependency that affects your escalation paths, compliance assurances, and offboarding timelines. It does not necessarily mean worse service.
It means you should ask the question before you sign.
What costs sit on top of Skuad’s fee?
The $199 platform fee is the smallest line on your invoice. Every cost below is real, recurring, and largely invisible until the first payroll cycle clears.
Employer taxes and social contributions. These are government-mandated, not Skuad charges, but they are the largest variable. In Germany, employer contributions add roughly 40% on top of gross salary.
In France, they push past 45%. In India, closer to 15%. In the UK, employer NICs add approximately 13.8%.
If your Finance team budgeted $199/month per employee and did not account for employer contributions, the first invoice will trigger a conversation nobody wants to have.
FX spreads. Skuad processes payroll in 70+ currencies, but does not publish its FX markup.
This is a cost you will not see as a line item. It is baked into the conversion rate applied to each payroll cycle.
Skuad does not publish the margin, so price it in as an unknown. Even a 1% margin on a team of 10 disbursing $80,000 a month is roughly $9,600 a year in hidden currency costs.
Ask for the spread in writing during your sales process.
Deposit requirements. Skuad does not publish deposit requirements on its pricing page. Some third-party reviews suggest deposits may be required in certain jurisdictions.
Confirm this during procurement. If a deposit is required, get the refund terms in writing, specifically the timeline after offboarding.
Offboarding costs. Severance obligations are country-specific and pass through to you. In markets with strong termination protections (Germany, France, Netherlands), these costs can be substantial.
This is not a Skuad-specific issue, but it is a cost that sits on top of the platform fee and catches teams who have not budgeted for it.

Pension auto-enrolment: ~£137/month (3% employer minimum). Platform fee: $199/month (~£158), plus an undisclosed currency-conversion margin.
Monthly total: approximately £5,418-£5,510. The $199 platform fee represents under 3% of the actual cost. Put the full number in front of Finance, not the $199.
How does Skuad compare on price?
At $199/month for EOR, Skuad is the joint-cheapest published rate in the market, level with Remofirst and $400/month cheaper than Deel, Remote, and Oyster. For a team of 20 employees, choosing Skuad over Deel saves $96,000 per year in platform fees alone.
That number gets your procurement team’s attention.

The savings are real but they come with trade-offs your procurement team needs to weigh. Skuad’s 24/5 support means no coverage on weekends.
Its hybrid entity model means less certainty about which legal entity employs your people in each country.
Its platform is younger and narrower than Deel’s, with no HRIS, IT management, or immigration services.
The direct price comparison that matters most is Skuad versus Remofirst. Both charge $199/month for EOR.
Remofirst uses a 100% partner model, which gives you less entity ownership but more predictability in structure. Skuad’s partial owned-entity presence in APAC may be an advantage if your hiring is concentrated there.

Is Skuad worth the cost?
Skuad is worth the cost when your primary constraint is budget and your hiring is in well-established jurisdictions where compliance is relatively straightforward.
If you are a startup hiring your first 10-20 international employees and your CFO is scrutinising every line item, Skuad’s $199/month is roughly a third of what you would pay Deel or Remote. Over 12 months with 15 employees, that is $72,000 in platform fee savings.
That is real money for a Series A company.
Skuad is not worth the cost when you need deep compliance support in complex jurisdictions. The German AUG licence gap (flagged by third-party reviewers as of mid-2026) is a specific red flag. If you are hiring in Germany, confirm current compliance status before signing.
24/5 support also means no weekend coverage, which is a constraint for teams operating across time zones that include weekend business days.
The honest assessment: Skuad gives you roughly 80% of what the premium EOR providers offer at 33% of the price. For most standard hiring scenarios, that 80% is enough.
The remaining 20% is where you notice the difference: complex employment law questions, weekend escalations, and jurisdictions where entity ownership provides meaningful compliance protection.

Does Skuad charge FX fees?

Is Skuad the same as Payoneer Workforce Management?
